We’re launching our new mental health initiative on Time to Talk Day, 7th February

Updated: May 19, 2022

We’re delighted to lend our support to a national Time to Change Campaign by implementing a wellness strategy for our team on its Time to Talk awareness day on 7th February.

We employ nine people at our practices in Woodseats and Crosspool and our owner, Alex was made aware of the campaign when he attended a Mental Health in the Workplace event hosted by Sheffield Mind last month.

Alex was inspired by the event and arranged a follow up meeting to launch the initiative in his practices: “Thanks to Nick Pearson from Sheffield Occupational Health Advisory Service, we have now implemented a mental health policy and a Wellness Action Plan (WAP) at both practices.

“We all need to support our health at work, so all staff should be offered a WAP, whether they have health issues or not. This sends a clear message that we care about our team’s physical and emotional wellbeing and helps to encourage staff to be open and seek support if necessary.”

Led by mental health charity, Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, Time to Change is a growing social movement that is working to change the way people think and act about mental health problems. The Time to Talk Day on 7th February aims to encourage people to learn more about mental health.

Take a look at this great video and do whatever you can to get people talking about mental health. Thank you.
