Choosing the right lenses
As an independent optometrist, we are free to select the best lenses from any manufacturer so we can offer a wider choice with a personal service that caters for your particular needs. Here is a guide as to why our lenses are better:
On-site glazing
Our on-site, one hour glazing means we can keep the cost of glazing down while maintaining our high standards. Many alterations are carried out on the spot and you can speak directly to the person who carries out the work.
Special treatments
Why settle for regular eyeglass lenses when you can have new improved lenses? Today’s reflection free (RF) lenses out-perform regular lenses by helping you to see better, feel better, and actually look better when you are wearing your glasses.
Not all reflection free lenses are the same, as with everything you get what you pay for. We recommend reflection free lenses with scratch resistance where the lenses are treated in the same factory as the lenses are manufactured or surfaced in a fully controlled environment. You may have tried reflection free lenses in the past but technology has moved on a great deal in the last few years.
Today lenses are virtually invisible, extremely durable, scratch resistant, and easy to clean. State-of-the-art, no-glare properties are combined with double-sided scratch resistance and a finish that repels water. Crizal lenses eliminate reflections that cause eyestrain and fatigue, especially from fluorescent lighting and computer screens. They resist dirt and smudges, so you do not have to clean them as often. With Crizal Sapphire, you not only look better—you feel better, too.
Thinner Lightweight Lenses
New Hi-Index materials mean that your lenses can be made thinner, lighter and better looking. This is especially good news if you have a high power prescription. No longer will you need to wear thick unsightly lenses or a restricted choice of frames.
Varifocals
Quite simply bifocals without the lines. For those who require both near and distance vision correction. These lenses have a gradual change in their optical power, there is no jump between your near and distant vision giving the benefit of clearer middle distance vision.
